JUST A DREAM...
She sits alone, quiet, and at first
sight seemingly at peace.
But those who look deeper, into her sad eyes, can see the
anger and hatred dwelling inside, screaming to be let out, only to be held back by a force unwilling to show emotion.
People pass her, often with much
pity, they can't understand what has driven her to this edge, and brought about this anger bound from her. She remembers
the taunting and the laughing, they become a pulsating force through her head, causing the pain and anger to rise, which brings
about a bright orange flame in her eyes that burns right through anyone who looks at her.
The loneliness of life has left her
cold and unfeeling, it's bitterness of hate and solitude has left an empty shell of battered emotions and an untouched heart.
Silently reality slips away, her
mind goes into a somber state.. The dream world calls to her. It beckons with a promise of warmth and comfort, a promise
of friendliness and companionship. These things she must adhere to, they will become the reason for her existence.
We sit and watch her fade away.
Eyes once warm and friendly are now empty and cold. Her once rosy and laughing face is now pale and emotionless.
Grief and sorrow overcome us, drawing
us near to see her last and final attempt to cling to our world. Silently the dream world wraps itself around her, pulling
her away from us and reality.
In her mind she wonders...."what
is real? What is a dream? Are the two, one and the same? " Now she can't separate them. What
we take as being real...Love, hate, sorrow, happiness... Life and death... are now in her mind, as just a dream...
